George L. Vogt, 92, of Bayville, went home to our heavenly Father on April 18, 2017. He began life in Jersey City to the parents of the late Catherine and George Vogt. In 1963, George graduated St. Peter's College in Jersey City with a degree in Accounting. He then was employed with the Accounting firm of Arthur F. Duffy, New York City. George married the love of his life Lucille (Salzano) and lived in Chatham for 25 years before moving to Bayville in 1990. George owned his own travel agency, Near and Far Travel Agency in Summit. He and Lucille enjoyed many trips and cruises around the world. He was a member of the St. Barnabas Council #8603 Knights of Columbus and member of the 4th degree, John D. Mahon Assembly #1926. He was an avid NY Giant football fan and enjoyed reading.

George leaves to cherish his memory; his wife of 49 years Lucille; sister-in-law's, Madeline Pedati and Rose Martino and her husband Vincent; his special nieces, Janet Conti and her husband Richard and Lisa Vidal and her husband Tommy; also, several nieces, nephews, and godchildren.

Visiting hours will be Sunday, April 23rd, from 2pm to 6pm at the Mastapeter Funeral Home, 270 Atlantic City Blvd., Bayville. On Monday, relatives and friends are kindly invited to meet at St. Barnabas Church, 33 Woodland Rd., Bayville to celebrate an 9:30am Funeral Mass. Entombment will follow to Holy Cross Mausoleum, North Arlington. In lieu of flowers, donations in George's memory to: , (, or to; Knights of Columbus, St. Barnabas Council #8603, 33 Woodland Rd.
