Manchester Twp - Geraldine F. Guempel, 85, of Manchester Township died Thursday, January 4, 2018 at home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Orange, she lived in East Orange, South Seaside Park, and Toms River before moving to Manchester twenty-three years ago.

Jerrie was predeceased by her loving husband George N. Guempel in 2011, her daughter Judy Ladner, grandson Jimmy Kerrigan, parents Edward and Agnes Howlett, and son-in-law Robert Mack.

Jerrie is survived by her six daughters and their families: Jeri & Jim Kerrigan, Kate & George Graham, Mary Jo & Jay Delaney, Elaina & Tom Cotton, Georgette Mack & partner David Wiencke, and Linda & Glenn Groh; twenty-one grandchildren and twenty-three great-grandchildren.

Jerrie's life was filled with the joy of loving her husband George, being his "bride" and raising their seven daughters together. She was a beloved Mom-Mom to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her love and devotion to her family will be forever cherished in their hearts.

She was a parishioner of St. John's R.C. Catholic Church, Lakehurst. Jerrie and her late husband George owned Wing and A Prayer Farm in their retirement where they raised Standardbred race horses and were members of the Standardbred Retirement Foundation.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10am on Thursday, January 11 at St. John's R.C. Catholic Church, 619 Chestnut St., Lakehurst with interment to follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Toms River. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made in Jerrie's name to , 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105. Arrangements by DeGraff Lakehurst Funeral Home, Lakehurst.
