Geraldine Kerekes

South Amboy - Geraldine Anne "Geri" Gatyas Kerekes, 78, of South Amboy passed away on Friday May 7, 2021 at home. Born in Perth Amboy she graduated from the Barbizon School of Modeling in New York. During her modeling career, she performed many modeling shows and did makeup artist work on many famous people. Later in life she was chief of staff at the Barbizon School in Highland Park and Montclair and was owner of Gelert Skin and Beauty Care Center in Somerville.

Daughter of the late Steve and Veronica Starzyk Gatyas she is also predeceased by her daughter-in-law Diana Kerekes. She is survived by her husband Laszlo Kerekes; her sons Peter and Kenneth Kerekes; her daughter-in-law Patricia Kerekes; her grandchildren Eric, Steven, Jessica and Tara and her great-grandchildren Jake, Jesse and Emily

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday May 11, 2021 at 6:30pm at The Gundrum Service "Home For Funerals" 237 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy. Cremation will be private. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4 to 7pm.
