Colts Neck - Gerard Michael Dominczak, 86, of Colts Neck, NJ passed away on December 22 in Holmdel. Gerard was born in Buffalo, NY.

Gerard served six years in the US Army during post war occupation in Germany. During that time he attended Culinary School where he acquired the skills of an accomplished chef. He was employed as a resident chef for the Brothers of St. John De La Salle at Christian Brothers Academy in Lincroft for 35 years. He was a communicant of St. Leo's Church in Lincroft, a member of the VFW Post 2170 in Middletown and the American Legion in Leonardo.

Gerard was predeceased by his beloved wife Mary in 2008. He is survived by his loving son Raymond Dominczak of Lecanto, Fl., and a sister Adeline Dominczak of Cheektowaga, NY. He is also, survived by several nieces and nephews, and his dear friends Joseph and Janet Bilotta of Middletown.

All funeral arrangements will be private under the direction of John E. Day Funeral Home in Red Bank.
