Grace E. Robertson (Weiss) 94, passed away December 23, 2016.

Born June 14, 1922 Bronx, New York. She is predeceased by her Husband George in 1975 also her Brother Robert. Surviving are her Daughter Susan Helm and husband Charles of Manasquan. Granddaughters Sara Helm of Hillsborough, Jennifer Thompson and husband Matthew of Oaklyn. Great Grandchildren Odin and Leyna. Nephew Walter Weiss of Florida.

After Graduating from Belleville High School, Class of 1939, Grace was employed by Prudential Insurance Company of Newark, and in later years at Skyland Auto Auction, Fairfield, N.J.

Long time residents of New Jersey, Grace and George Lived for many years in the home they actively assisted in building in North Caldwell. Grace has spent much of her life helping others. Girl Scouting was blessed by her service for over 50 years, including serving as Past President of the Essex Council as well as currently fully involved in the Order of the Evergreen, Ocean County.

Many wonderful summers were spent by the family on the sun washed beach in Manasquan, so retiring tot his are was a natural choice. Upon moving to Lions Head South in 1987 Grace immediately became involved by volunteering on service committees and in the sports programs, both as participant and taking leadership roles. Bocce, bowling, Indoor Shuffleboard, everything from pool monitoring to distinguishing herself as Trustee Board Member and honored Past President of the Board.

She was always available for guidance and/or advice. Her love of nature made her a faithful member of the Garden Club and her love of the animals made her a great companion for her cat Molly.

Grace was a member of The United Church of Christ, Toms River. Warmest sincere thanks are extended to the staff of Hackensack Hospice for all their faithful and loving care.

Visiting will be Tuesday, Dec 27 from 2:00pm until 5:00pm. Funeral services to begin at 4:30pm at the Silverton Memorial Funeral Home, 2482 Church Road, Toms River, NJ 08753. Interment will be Wednesday 11:45am at Restland Memorial Park, East Hanover, NJ.
