Gustav Milak Obituary
Gustav Milak

Formerly of Morganville and Barnegat - Gus William Milak passed peacefully at the age of 86 on the morning of December 23rd, 2017. He was born and raised in Carteret, NJ. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force as an airline mechanic in the Korean war which led him to his career path as an air conditioning and heating mechanic. Gus "Billy" Milak met his lovely wife, Dolores Furdak shortly after his return from service, married, and raised two beautiful children, Debra Marie Milak and Todd William Milak in Morganville, NJ. Gus was a wonderful father and husband devoting his time between his self - employed business and family. He worked hard to provide for his family and was a great grandfather to his grandchildren.

Gus was always a great dancer and socialite. He enjoyed the company of family and friends and made more friends wherever he went. He was always the life of the party and everyone who knew him, whether for a short or long term, would say what a great guy he was.

He was predeceased by his wife, Dolores (Furdak) Milak, parents, Gustav Milak and Ethel (Petrocy) Milak and sister, Ethel Milak Lukach . He is survived by his brother, Zoltan Milak, daughter, Debra Milak, son Todd Milak (married to Diem Phan Milak), and grandchildren, Ethan and Alexis Milak.

Gus will be missed by many as his smile was forever present and his love of life and joy spread to everyone he encountered. The special memories that bring his contagious smile will always be a treasure for all who have known him.

Crematory services are planned and a memorial service will be held at Synowiecki Funeral Home at 56 Carteret Avenue, Carteret NJ for friends and family to pay their respects from 4-6 pm on January 12, 2017
