Harold Edward Driscoll, age 95 of Lakewood, NJ died peacefully on Wednesday, 11/8/17 at his home in Leisure Park. Harold was born in Brooklyn, NY to Harold F. Driscoll and Mable Luby Driscoll on March 18, 1922. He was raised in Oradell, NJ attending Oradell schools and Newark College of Engineering. Harold was a Veteran of World War II, proudly serving his country as a Lieutenant in the US Army, Signal Corp, Asia Pacific Theater.

He was employed as a Technical Writer for many years with various companies including Bell Labs.

Harold married Anne Monahan Driscoll on October 28, 1944. Together they raised 7 children living in Westwood, NJ for over 40 years.

Harold and Anne also spent 15 wonderful years at Four Seasons in Lakewood, NJ where they made many wonderful friends and enjoyed traveling and many social activities. They were parishioners of St Dominic's R.C. Church in Brick, NJ.

Harold was a devoted husband and a loving father. He was always happiest surrounded by family and interacting with his grand children. Over his lifetime he had many hobbies from raising carrier pigeons and building short wave radios to programming computers and photography. He also loved to bowl and play golf.

Harold was predeceased by his beloved wife of 71 years, Anne Elizabeth (Monahan) Driscoll in 2015. He is survived by his loving children, Elizabeth Neumeg and her husband, Richard of Gulf Shores, AL, Margaret Brower and her husband, James of Westerly, RI, Patricia Bruce and her husband, Charles of Southport, NC, Anne Marie Collery and her husband, James of Holgate, NJ, Dennis Driscoll and his wife, Robin of Claremont, CA, Brian Driscoll and his wife, Jacqui of New Milford, NJ and Catherine Ficca and her husband, Nicholas of Glen Rock, NJ, 17 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his brother Jack Driscoll and wife Jane, Sarasota, FL.

Friends may call on Monday, 2-5 PM at Colonial Funeral Home - 2170 Highway 88, Brick. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, 10:00 AM at St. Dominic's R.C. Church in Brick. Burial will follow at Maryrest Cemetery in Mahwah, NJ. Donations in lieu of flowers can be made in his honor to: Catholic Charities of Trenton Diocese. To send condolences to his family please go to:
