Helen M. Wester Breidenbach

Eatontown - Helen M. Wester Breidenbach, 90, of Jackson, passed away Thursday, January 18th on her 90th birthday. Born in Newark on January 18, 1928 to George and Mildred Myers, Helen was raised in Maplewood and graduated from Columbia High School in Maplewood. After her high school graduation, she moved to East Orange where she attended and graduated from Berkeley Secretarial School. Helen worked as a secretary for many years with Schering Corp. in Bloomfield and the Clifford S. Evans Construction Co. in East Orange. She relocated to Eatontown in 1962 and was a longtime member of the Oakhurst United Methodist Church where she served as an usher. An avid bowler into her 80's, Helen served as President of the Shore Nuf Bowling League at the Shore Lanes in Neptune. She is predeceased by her husband of 50 years, William Wester, and by her second husband, Edwin Breidenbach. Loving mother of Douglas Wester and wife Vicki, and Karen Wester. She was also the caring step-mother of Susan Cangialosi and cherished grandmother of Kate and Jeff Wester. Family and friends may visit Tuesday, January 23rd, 2-4pm and 7-9pm at the Braun Funeral Home, 106 Broad Street, Eatontown, NJ. Funeral Service Wednesday, January 24th, 11:30am at the funeral home, followed by interment at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Wrightstown. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Helen's memory to the Monmouth County SPCA, 260 Wall Street, Eatontown, NJ 07724 or to the Popcorn Park Zoo, 1 Humane Way, Forked River, NJ 08731.
