AGE: 89 • Whiting

Henry Leigh Lane of the Pines of Whiting went to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 2, 2017 at the age of 89. He was born in Florida on August 6, 1927, the son of Grover and Hazel Lane, and was raised in New York State. He moved to Pemberton in 1942 where he finished high school and met his future wife, Annamarie Yerkes. Henry and Annamarie married in 1949 and enjoyed 67 years together. Henry and Annmarie lived in Pemberton, New Jersey for many years before retiring to Lavallette, New Jersey, where they lived until moving to their present home in Whiting, New Jersey.

Henry worked several years at Charles B. Yerkes and Sons and then went to work for Prudential Insurance Company. He had a very successful career with Prudential and retired after 27 years.

Henry was a active member of the Pemberton United Methodist Church, servicing as Chairman of the Trustees, Church Treasurer and many other positions. He was a life member of Good Will Fire Company #1 and Odd Fellows Lodge #49, both of Pemberton.

Henry and Annamarie enjoyed many vacations and fun times together with a special group of friends. They called themselves the Crazy Fight.

Henry is survived by his wife Annamarie (Yerkes) Lane. He is also survived by his three children H. Leigh Lane and wife Deborah, Barbara and husband Robert Halasz and Patricia and husband Vernon Haskins, and five grandchildren Adam Lane and wife Tammi, Sara Lane, Charles Lane, Cullen Haskins and Tanner Haskins. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Viewing Wednesday, March 15, 2017, 9 am to 11 am, service 11 am, Pemberton United Methodist Church, 45 Hanover Street, Pemberton, NJ.
