Forked River - Iva Mae Englishmen (nee Winters) formerly Hubbard age 92, passed away Jan. 5, 2018. Born Nov. 5, 1925 in Midland Park, NJ to Clarence & Ina Winters. A 1943 graduate of Pompton Lakes High School. Iva was married to Harold Hubbard living in Wyckoff and Hawthorne. Their daughter, Carol Ann Hubbard went to be with her Savior at 12 years of age. Harold pre-deceased her in1972. Iva's 2nd, William Englishmen, Sr. whom she married in 1974, pre-deceased her in 2001. Iva worked as a bookkeeper for Plumbers & Steamfitters LU49 for 20 years and later for Electrician LU102 for 5 yrs. Iva enjoyed vacationing at their trailer in Reflection Lake, PA & at Midway Beach, N.J. She & Bill retired in 1986, moved to Pheasant Run, Forked River, N.J.& spent winters in Venice, FL. Iva served as deacon & elder at Ocean Reformed Church, Manahawkin, NJ. She was currently a member of Cedar Hill Christian Reformed Church, Wyckoff, NJ. She is survived by 3 step children, Tom Englishmen and his wife Carol of Kentwood, MI, Sharon and her husband Peter Ott of S. Seaside Park, NJ, and Bill Englishmen and his wife Janice of Oakland. Iva also leaves 8 adoring grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, foster daughter Donna Bennitt (Nesmejanow), beloved nieces Bev Hoek and Jennifer Brennan (Hoek), and beloved nephew Doug Hoek and his wife Faith. Iva is pre-deceased by a sister Ruth Hoek. The Englishmen family will receive friends on Monday 3:00 until 6:00PM at the Chapel of the Holland Christian Home, 151 Graham Ave., North Haledon, NJ 07508. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday 10AM, also at the Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Iva's name may be made to the Holland Christian Home.
