AGE: 78 • formerly of Freehold Township

James (Jim) Ehret, 78, previously of Freehold Township died peacefully at home on Jan. 8, 2017, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on May 8, 1938 to the late Mary and Harold J. Ehret in Wilkes-Barre, PA. He graduated from Hanover Memorial High School in 1955 after which he served four years as a corpsman in the U.S. Navy. He married Maureen (Niemeyer) in May 1962. A year later he moved to NJ and secured employment at Bristol Myers Squibb from which he retired in 1999. In 2000 he and Maureen retired to Willow Street, PA. He was member of St. Phillip the Apostle Catholic Church.

He is survived by his wife, daughter, Michele Fee and her husband Doug, Howell, NJ, son Michael, and his wife Judy, New Market, MD, daughter, Colleen married to David Lorelli, East Hempfield, PA; five grandchildren: Christopher, Amanda and Kathleen Fee and Grant and Conner Lorelli and a step-grandson, Eric Vaughn, his wife Kristen and their sons Noah and Asher. Also surviving is his sister, Mary Engle, brother, Tom and his wife Maureen, sisters-in-law, Joann Rieger, Phyllis Niemeyer, and Marie Niemeyer as well as twenty nieces and nephews and many great and great-great nieces and nephews and cousins.

A viewing will be held from 5-8 PM on Friday, January 13, 2017 at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 441 N. George St, Millersville, PA 17551. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, January 14, 2017, with a viewing prior to the service from 10-11 AM at St. Philip the Apostle, 2111 Millersville Pike, Lancaster, PA 17603. Interment will be at St. Joseph New Catholic Cemetery, Bausman, PA.
