Jane M. (Nebbia) Callahan, 86, of Keyport, passed away Monday, November 14, 2016, at the Willows Assisted Living, Holmdel. She was born in Garfield, NJ on May 31, 1930 to Ralph and Lena (Corrado) Nebbia. She resided in New York City, NY and North Bergen, NJ, before moving to Keyport in 1990. Jane worked as a telephone operator with AT&T Long Lines, New York, NY. She was a member of the Community Church of Keyport, where she was a member of the senior club and a volunteer worker at the lunch program. Jane was predeceased by her beloved husband, Edward Callahan in 1977; a son, James Callahan in 1988; her parents, and three siblings, Joseph and Ralph Nebbia and Madeline Frederick. She is survived by her loving children, Lori Cortiglia and her husband James of Keyport; Donna Maitland of Middletown; and Patricia Callahan and her partner, Hutch Johnson of Phila delphia, PA; two brothers, Vincent Nebbia of Florida and Harold Nebbia and his wife Lynn of NJ; and her cherished grandchildren, Emily Angeli and her husband Dave of Middletown; Kathryn Cortiglia and her partner, Bobby Marks of Hoboken and James Cortiglia, Jr. of Keyport. She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by her family and friends. Visitation will take place on Thursday, November 17, 2016, from 4-8PM, at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport, NJ 07735; and Friday, November 18, 2016, 10:30 AM at the funeral home, with a 11:00 AM service to follow.
