Janet Ann Ferrara, 70, of Barnegat, NJ, passed away on Tuesday January 24, 2017 at Southern Ocean Medical Center in Manahawkin.

Born in Jersey City, NJ, Janet lived in Lacey Twp. for 30 years before moving to Barnegat 10 years ago. She was a 1964 graduate of St. Al's High School in Jersey City. She was vice-president and president of the Lacey Booster Club. She worked at Ocean Medical Center, Point Pleasant Hospital and Shore Rehabilitation Center. Janet was also a manager of a large Rehab Services Company that supplied therapists throughout NJ. During her retirement she enjoyed many various activities and friends but most of all she enjoyed her family. Her granddaughters Kate, Lauren and Juli brought endless joy and pride as did her grandson Joey. Her daughter Sandi and her husband Rich were untiring in caring for her in her time of need. Janet leaves this life with a smile on her face and twinkle in her eye.

Janet was predeceased by her husband, Raymond. She is survived by her daughter Sandi Lamparelli and her husband Rich of Allentown, NJ; 3 granddaughters, Kate, Lauren and Juli; her grandson Joey; her brother Dennis and and his wife Cathy Kitson of Sarasota, FL; her niece Denise and her wife Julie Gesuale-Kitson; her nephew Patrick and his wife Jennifer Kitson and her great-niece Emory.

Visiting hours will be held on Sunday January 29, 2017 from 2-6 PM at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home 26 Mule Road Toms River, NJ 08755. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday January 30, 2017 at 11:30 am at St. Maximilian Kolbe RC Church, Toms River, NJ. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Toms River.
