AGE: 88 • Oakhurst

Janet Marie Bayconich, 88, passed away on May 29, 2017. Janet was born in Central City, Pa to Lohman and Sarah (Manges) Fleegle.

She was predeceased by her parents, her brother, Paul and by her best friend and husband, Walter D. Bayconich with whom she shared 61 years of marriage with 22 of those years as a faithful military wife as he served in the U.S. Army during WWII, the Korean War and Vietnam War.

Janet was a longtime member of the Eastern Star Lodge # 198 in Eatontown. She enjoyed making dolls with crochet doll clothing and watching the birds gather at her backyard bird feeders.

We know she is with Walter enjoying her Manhattan, watching her birds and listening to It's 5 o'clock somewhere!

She is survived by her sons, Donald of Mays Landing and Douglas of Brick, grandchildren Donald Bayconich Jr. and Beverly (Anthony) Poretto and great grandchildren; Nicolas, Lucas, & Marcus Poretto, and Noah Bayconich.

She is also survived by sisters-in-law; Olga (and Sam Silvers) of Petersburg, NJ, and Ann Knecht of Hooversville, Pa. Also surviving are her brothers-in-law, Ned (Dorothy) Bayconish of River Vale, NJ, and Anthony (Diane) Bayconich of West Caldwell, NJ. Janet also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 6th from 10am to 12 noon at the Braun Funeral Home 106 Broad St. Eatontown, NJ 07724. A funeral service will take place at 12noon followed by interment at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veteran's Cemetery in Wrightstown, NJ.

Memorial donations may be made in Janet's name to Meridian Hospice - North Office. 1345 Campus Parkway Suite A2, Neptune NJ 07753.
