Keyport - Jean Leonardo, 75, of Keyport, passed away at her home on Tuesday, December 12, 2017. She was born Jean Krynak on October 18, 1942 in Livingston and was currently a resident at Bethany Manor, where she had been living for many years. Before retirement, Jean worked as a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor in the Bayshore Area and was a proud member of the Alcoholic's Anonymous for 44 years. In addition, Jean was the author of her book titled "I'll Try Tomorrow"; her writer/author alias was "Jeanie L.".

She was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Grace (Pisano) Krynak, her dear sister, Diana McMahon, and her beloved best friend, Domenica Patinha. Jean is survived by her loving children, Shawn Leonardo of Ogdensburg, and Jeanine Leonardo of Keansburg, along with her brother, Frank Pisano and his wife, Patricia, of Cape Cod, MA, and her cherished granddaughters, Madison and Megan Leonardo. Jean will be sadly missed, but never forgotten.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Saturday, December 16th from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 PM, with a prayer service during evening visitation hours, at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Hwy/Rt 35 N, Hazlet.
