Jean Miller Onions age 82, died Sunday, March 26, 2017.

Born in Newark, NJ, she was a daughter of the late Alexander Lamb and Margaret Hill Thomson who died when she was a baby and stepmother, Anna (Clarke) Thomson whom Jean always thought of as mom. Jean graduated from Weequahic High School in Newark. She received her Associate Degree in Nursing at Brookdale Community College in Lincroft, NJ. Jean retired as an RN maternity nurse from Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank, NJ in 1998. She moved to South Carolina, which she loved in 2004 with her husband Bernard (Bill) Onions. They celebrated their 45th anniversary New Years Eve 2016. Jean loved toll painting and her newest hobby of quilting. She was preceded in death by a brother, Alexander Thomson and a sister, Joan Bernokeits.

Survivors include her husband, Bill Onions; sons, William Onions and his wife Erin, John Dambroski, Thomas Dambroski, Joseph Dambroski and his wife Marilyn; a daughter, Terry Lynn Onions; two daughters in law, Justine Dambroski and Eileen Lonergan; a sister, Margaret Rist; a sister in law, Jeannette Thomson; fifteen grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at Belin Memorial United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM Monday, April 3, 2017 at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Beach Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Belin Memorial United Methodist Church, 4182 Hwy. 17 Business Murrells Inlet, SC 29576.
