AGE: 78 • Barnegat

Jeanne Anne Butrym, (nee Stibrik) age 78, of Barnegat passed away on Saturday, September 24, 2016 at Southern Ocean Medical Center, Manahawkin. Jeanne was born in Homestead, PA., and was formerly from Levittown, PA and East Windsor before moving to Barnegat in 2001. She was a 1960 graduate of Duquesne University, Pittsburg, where she received a Bachelors of Science Degree, majoring in Pharmacy; she then worked as a Pharmacist for St. Peter's Medical Center in New Brunswick for 38 years before retiring in 2001. Mrs. Butrym was a communicant of St. Mary's RC Church, Barnegat, and her passion was painting watercolors.

She was predeceased by her parents Andrew and Margaret Stibrik. Surviving are her husband of 55 years Alexander J. Butrym, three children Anne Osman and her husband Yafie, of Estelle Manor, NJ, Michael Butrym and his wife Abigail, of Howell, NJ and Alexis and her husband Alexander MacFarlane, of Elverson, PA. She is also by her brother Thomas Stibrik, of California, four grandchildren, Emma Butrym, Spenser Butrym, Genevieve MacFarlane, and Rhiannon MacFarlane and many loving family and friends.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday September 28, 2016, from 7-9 pm and on Thursday from 9:30 am until 10:00 am at Bugbee-Riggs Funeral Home, 335 South Main Street, Barnegat, NJ 08005. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Thursday September 29 at 10:30 am at St. Mary's RC Church, 747 West Bay Avenue, Barnegat, NJ. Interment shall follow at St. Mary's Parish Cemetery, Manahawkin.

She always had a smile and such warmth. I spent a lot of time in my childhood playing with Alexis, and it was like a second home to me. All my love to Jeanne's family--she was well loved and I will remember her fondly.
