Jessie E. Laauwe, 99, of Brick, NJ, passed away peacefully at Brandywine Assisted Living in Brick, on March 11, 2017, with her family at her side. She was born in Paterson, NJ, and was a resident of Midland Park, NJ, before retiring to Florida. She moved back to NJ to be close to her children, settling in Toms River.

Her career included employment with Prudential and Travelers Insurance Companies. Jessie was a founding member of The Pinelands Reformed Church, loved to sing in the choir and belonged to The Woman's Guild. She had a personal relationship with Jesus as her Savior. She was also an Honorary Paul Harris Fellow at Toms River Rotary Club, was a member of The Wyckoff Fire Department Woman's Auxiliary and Peace River Power Squadron Auxiliary in Florida. Jessie loved volunteering at The Florence Christian Home for unwed mothers, where she took the girls for their doctor visits.

Jessie was predeceased by her husband George De Boer and her beloved husband William C. Laauwe of 39 years, her grandson Todd Allen De Boer, her brother John Rienstra, and her sister Jeanette Kuiken. She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law Claire and Chuck Woudenberg of Colorado, her children: Audrey Rhodes and her husband Fred of Brick, George Allen De Boer and his wife Judith of Hawthorne; and Jeanne Feyko and her husband Edward of Brick; her stepson Donald Laauwe and his wife Jan; eight grandchildren; and eighteen great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Sunday, March 19th, from 3 to 7PM, at the Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main Street, Toms River, NJ. Funeral services will be held Monday at 10AM at Hawthorne Gospel Church Chapel, 2000 Route 208, Hawthorne, NJ with her grandson Pastor Kirk De Boer officiating.
