Joan M. Bachman
Hazlet - Joan M. Bachman, 74, of Hazlet NJ, passed away on Thursday, August 23, 2018 at the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ.
Joan was born on April 15, 1944 in Brooklyn, NY. She was a valued employee for many years as an Executive Administrative Assistant for Guy Carpenter & Company in New York City, NY before retiring on December 31, 2014. Joan and her husband Chester Blynn were married on June 6, 1997 and were happily married for 21 years. After living in Old Bridge, NJ, Joan and Chester moved to Hazlet, NJ in 2006. Joan loved life, loved to laugh and had a passion for many things including gardening and the power of reading, and through her company mentored children at a local school in NY. Most of all, she deeply loved her family.
Joan is survived by her loving spouse, Chester; her daughter, Janice Grunor and her partner Larry; her son Eric and daughter- in- law, Dayna Grunor and their son Riley who was the joy of her life. She is also survived by her sister, Harriet Lipski and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Jessie Krystofinski; and a brother- in- law, Joseph Lipski.
A Memorial Gathering will be held on Sunday, October 7, 2018, 11:00 am-12:00 pm at the Waitt Funeral Home, Morganville, NJ. Services officiated by Rabbi Malinger of Temple Shalom in Aberdeen, NJ. will follow at 12:00 pm. The family will be sitting Shiva on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday following the service.
The family request that any contributions, in Joan's memory be made to Rutgers Cancer Institute in New Brunswick, NJ.
