AGE: 89 • Beachwood

John A. Zavatsky, 89, of Beachwood, NJ, passed away on November 20, 2017, with his loving family at his side. He was born in Wilkes Barre, PA and was a proud Navy veteran of both WW II and Korea. He worked for JCP&L as a Lineman for 37 years then went on to work at Berkeley Township Water & Sewer. John loved football - especially watching his favorite team the Steelers. He enjoyed fishing, traveling, and going to Atlantic City with his wife Cecelia. John loved a good time with his family and friends and will be dearly missed by them. John was predeceased in September by his beloved wife Cecelia of 55 years, his sister Love Kuhl, and his brother-in-law Richard Kuhl. He is survived by his three children: Carol Nolan, Charles Zavatsky and wife Loren, and Bruce Zavatsky and wife Donna; three sisters: Margaret German, Elaine Gayman and husband Jim, and Mary Rodzon and husband Philip; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Monday, November 27, 2017, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9PM, at the Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main Street, Toms River, NJ 08753. The Funeral Service will be Tuesday at 11AM at the funeral home. Burial will be immediately following at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Wrightstown.
