John Catney Obituary
John Catney born May 3,1960 was called home on February 23, 2016. Born in Belfast Northern Ireland he moved to Long Branch, NJ at the age of 3. He is predeceased by his parents Alex and Annie Catney and sister Marie Mustafa Catney.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years Dorothy Catney, 3 children Chris and Jennifer both of brick a son Sean and daughter in law Lindsay of Bayville, 4 adoring grandchildren Aidan, David, Masen and Brandon. Also a brother Jerry and sister in law Gina of Point Pleasant, NJ. 2 nieces Teresa Kashlin, Felicia Catney and a nephew Patrick Mustafa along with many loving cousins, aunts, uncles and friends. John loved spending time at the beach where his ashes will be spread so he may live on forever.
A memorial service will be held on April 9, 2016 at 5:00 pm at fellowship chapel 170 Duchess Lane, Brick, NJ 08724 food and refreshments to follow. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting that donations be made to treasure coast hospice in Florida.
