John V. Boylan, 84, of Breton Woods, Brick, died Wednesday, Oct. 1, at Burnt Tavern Nursing Home. He was a truck driver. He held various offices at Brentwoods Property Owners Association & Clubhouse. Born in Newark, he lived there before moving to Breton Woods in 1938.
He was predeceased by his wife, Jeanette Delaney Boylan. Surviving are a son, Chris Boylan of Seaside Heights; a daughter, Soozi Matson of Scott Depot, W. Va.; a brother, Richard C. Boylan of Wilmington, N.C.; and two granddaughters, Marie Matson and Michelle Matson.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Faith Bible Church, 307 Mantoloking Road, Brick, followed by a reception at Brentwood Club House.

As Teenagers, we all grew up together as close friends in Breton Woods. Looking back 70 years, they were great times. Regards to the Family.
