AGE: 85 • Freehold

Joseph Jacobs, 85, of Freehold Township passed away on Thursday, July 27, 2017. Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, he came to the U.S. in 1962 living in Manhattan until moving to New Jersey in 1967 and settling in Freehold in 1974. He was the youngest of two children born to Juana and Bernardo Judkowski. Upon moving to the U.S., Joe persued a career in pharmaceutical packaging, working at companies within the pharmaceutical industry including Pfizer, Chering-Plough and Westward. Joe had many hobbies including painting, drawing, stamp and coin collecting. Over the past several years Joe has spent much of his free time at the Freehold Township Senior Center participating in trips, playing cards and taking part in special events. He made many friends there and always looked forward to the time he would spend at the Senior Center.

Joe is predeceased by his parents, Bernardo and Juana. Surviving him are his loving wife of 53 years, Marilyn of Freehold; his older sister Justa Becker of Buenos Aires, Argentina; three sons Alan and wife Judy of Ocean, NJ, Eric and wife Claudia of Bay Head, NJ, and Brandon and wife Shannon of Manalapan, NJ. He is also survived by his five adoring grandchildren Ariel, Courtney, Colin, Lindsay and Caroline. Joe relished spending time with his family and took great pride in his Jewish and South American heritage.

The Funeral Services were held on Friday July 28, 2017 at Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels in Englishtown, NJ, and burial followed at Mt. Sinai Cemetery, Marlboro, NJ. Memorial Donations may be made to Freehold Hospital Auxillary to Benefit MS Center at Centra State Medical Center. Donations may be sent to:
