AGE: 84 • Manchester

Joya A. DiGiovine, 84, of Leisure Village West, Manchester, NJ died Tuesday, June 27, 2017. A retiree from the Panasonic Corporation in Secaucus, Joya was a devoted and beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and an avid Penn State football fan. She was a parishioner of St John's Church, Lakehurst and belonged to the Legion of Mary, and enjoyed spreading her sunshine to local nursing homes. Joya was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post 109 and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 227. Born in Jersey City, she lived for most of her life in Rutherford, before moving to Manchester 14 years ago. She is predeceased by her husband, Raymond DiGiovine, who died in 1981, and by her son, Mark Provenzano Sr., who died in 1996. Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Denise Provenzano of Montague; her daughter and son-in-law, Joy Anne and Kenneth Carson of Puerto Rico; her daughter-in-law, Lucretia Provenzano of Morris Plains; 6 grandchildren, Joy Marie Kozlowski, Dillon Sarnelli, Michael C. Provenzano, Kory Sarnelli, Mark Provenzano Jr., and Nikki Blanche; and 5 great-grandchildren, Haley Provenzano, Klarissa Sarnelli, Ryan Kozlowski, Julia and Christine Blanche. Visitation is Friday from 4-8 pm at Oliverie Funeral Home, 2925 Ridgeway Road, Manchester. Funeral Mass is Saturday at 9:00 am at St. John's Church, Lakehurst with interment to follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Hackensack.
