Bayville - Karen P. Reidy, 67, of Bayville, passed away April 11, 2018 at Community Medical Center, Toms River, NJ. Born in Wilkes Barre, PA, July 31, 1950.

Karen was a loving wife of 46 years, mother, friend and grandmother. Karen attended Ocean County College and earned her Associates Degree in 2017, Cum Laude, in Science at the age of 66, after spending her early career working as a Home Health Aid and caregiver. Karen was a creative soul who loved to write poetry, draw and paint. She was an active member of the Sonata Bay community and always thought of others before herself. She loved to spend time with her family and her two sons joking and enjoying life. She deeply enjoyed the company of family and friends and was always quick to offer words of kindness and compassion with a genuine smile. She wore her heart on her sleeve.

Karen was pre-deceased by her parents, Louis Griffith and Regina (Jean) Griffith and sister Elizabeth. She is survived by her husband Thomas, loving sons Thomas Jr. of Lawrenceville, NJ and Christopher of Bayville, NJ. Also survived by her sisters Lynn Jacobs (Paul), of Mountaintop, PA, Cheryl Edwards (William) of Walnut Creek, CA, Louise Fidducia (Richard) of Phoenix, AZ, Gail Baker-Berger (Tom) of Rockland, CA, and three brothers: William Griffith (Elvia), of Phoenix, AZ, John Griffith of Glendale, AZ and David Griffith of Peoria, AZ, along with several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Friday, April 13, from 2-4pm and from 7-9pm at the Mastapeter Funeral Home, 270 Atlantic City Blvd Bayville, NJ 08721.

Services will be held Saturday, April 14 at 9:30am at the Saint Barnabas Roman Catholic Church on Woodland Ave in Bayville, NJ with internment to follow at Saint Joseph's Cemetery in Toms River.
