Kyia Charmaigne Fredericks, 25, was granted her wings on January 28, 2017. She was born in Community Hospital in Toms River, NJ. She attended Brick Township schools, graduated from Brick Township High School in 2010, and continued her education in Liberal Arts at Ocean County College. She enjoyed spending time with her friends going to concerts and parties, expressing her love in art through music and her creative crafts, and cherishing tender moments with her family. Out of her accomplishments, her greatest masterpiece were the memories she gave to her friends and family. She will always be remembered for her selfless acts towards the important people in her life, infectious smile and positive loving personality, and her sense of humor. Deeply missed and will be forever cherished by her beloved parents Dreux and Mayo Ferrano; biological father John L. Fredericks; sisters Cristina Nop, Sirena Fredericks and brother John D. Fredericks; brother-in-law Peter Nop; nieces Lilian, Cora Nop, and Elle Sikora; nephew Evan Nop; step siblings Susanne and Dreux Jr. Ferrano; Uncle Bob and Aunt Kim Ward; cousin Ashley Ward; also, surviving her are aunts, uncles, and cousins in the U.S., Ireland, Italy, and Philippines. Kyia left behind so many amazing and loyal friends: Alex Z., Matt G., Amy, Jessica, Danielle, and others.

A viewing will be held on Friday February 3, 2017 from 4 to 8pm at Weatherhead Young Funeral Home, 885 Mantoloking Road Brick, NJ 08723. A funeral mass for Kyia will be offered on Saturday, 11am at Church of the Visitation, 730 Lynwood Ave Brick, NJ 08723.
