Leonardo

Laura A. Sullivan Donlon, of Leonardo, NJ, wife of Michael Donlon, passed away unexpectedly at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank, NJ on March 15, 2017. She was born on May 13, 1965 in New York City. She was the daughter of the late David and Virginia (Furey) Sullivan of Parlin, NJ.

Laura attended Sayreville High School and graduated from Cabrini College in 1987. She worked in marketing throughout her professional life and was Director of Marketing at Naik Consulting Group and the time of her death. She was a volunteer for the Middletown Athletic Club and the Middletown South Touchdown Club. She was also a dance teacher at Kick Dance Studios.

However, Laura's greatest accomplishment was that of wife and mother. She was devoted to her children enjoying all of the activities associated with raising them and her extended family. She loved gymnastics and dance, the beach, traveling with the top down on her red convertible, and listening to live music. Her ready smile and characteristic shrug will never be forgotten by all who knew her.

Laura married Mike in 1991 and they enjoyed over twenty five years together. Besides her loving husband, she is survived by her two children, Kelsey and Brendan. She also leaves behind her cherished brother, Matthew Sullivan and wife Jennifer, sister Sheila Sullivan and many in-laws, as well as beloved nieces and nephews. Laura was a produce of a large Irish family with many aunts, uncles and cousins who grieve her passing.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Wednesday at 10 AM from St. Agnes RC Church, Atlantic Highlands. Her family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, 2 - 4 and 6 - 9 PM at Posten's Funeral Home, 59 E. Lincoln Ave. Atlantic Highlands. The family requests that those participating in Laura's services wear an item of bright red to honor our Jersey girl.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Laura A. Donlon Memorial Scholarship Fund and mailed to Middletown Township Board of Education, PO Box 4170, Middletown, NJ 07748, attention: Amy Gallagher.
