Larry was born in Rensselaer, NY and spent his youth in West Keansburg, NJ with his mother Victoria Jackson and his brother Gerald Spoor. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy as a Machinist Mate 3rd Class during WW II. Upon return from the military Larry was employed with Bendix Aerospace in Eatontown, NJ for 45 years. He was married to Shirley Gibson for 67 years and they enjoyed traveling the world together. He was an avid outdoorsman including hunting, fishing, and gardening. He was also one of the top bowlers in Monmouth County making many friends and receiving many awards. Larry was a Past Master of Monmouth Lodge # 172 F&AM in Atlantic Highlands where he was a member for 55 years. After his retirement Larry enjoyed volunteering at Lunch Break in Red Bank for 30 years bringing food to the less fortunate in our area.

Larry is survived by his wife, Shirley Jackson of Lincroft, daughters Marcia Cocozza and husband Tom of Somerville, NJ, Audrey Groh and husband Steve of Toms River, NJ, and Constance Scheidt of Eatontown, NJ, 3 grandchildren- Christopher Scheidt and his wife Nicole of Howell, NJ, Matthew Scheidt of Eatontown, NJ, and Rebecca Cocozza of Tennessee.

A memorial service will be held on January 24, 2016 at 1pm at the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd Holmdel, NJ where he has been a member for over 45 years. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Good Shepherd Church.
