Lillian "Lily" Ann (Pillitteri) Woolley, 74, of Wall passed away peacefully on Monday, June 26, 2017 at her home surrounded by multiple generations of her family. Mrs. Woolley was an educator (home economics) and an advocate for her peers as an officer for the Brick Township Education Association before retiring in 1998. She was a graduate of Lakewood High School where she met her future husband, Rodney Woolley. She attended Georgian Court University in Lakewood and earned her bachelor's degree in education. Raised on the family egg farm, in then, rural Lakewood, her early experiences nurtured her strong support of the Shore's cultural arts programs. She was a member of the Brick Township Historical Society, a tireless fundraiser for Haven's House and an active and well respected member of the Ocean County Artist Guild. In retirement, Lily became a successful and widely exhibited pallet knife artist in venues throughout Ocean and Monmouth County. Mrs. Woolley was a communicant of Epiphany RC Church in Brick. She was a loving wife, devoted mother and proud grandmother, whose grace was heartfelt by all.

Born and raised in Lakewood, she lived in Wall and Sea Girt before moving back to Wall 20 years ago.

Mrs. Woolley was predeceased by her father, Joseph Pillitteri. Surviving is her husband of 53 years, Rodney Woolley; daughters, Maria Bolderman and her husband, Bruce of Manasquan and Gina McNamara and her husband, Bill of Island Heights; mother, Josephine Pillitteri of Monroe; sisters, Katherine Gatt and her husband, Charlie of Monroe, and Diana Beckman and her husband, Gene of Allentown; grandchildren, A.J. and Marilyn; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Visiting will be on Friday from 4-8pm at the O'Brien Funeral Home, 505 Burnt Tavern Road, Brick. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday 10am at Epiphany RC Church, Brick. Burial will follow at St. Mary of the Lake Cemetery, Lakewood. Donations may be made in her name to the Ocean County Artist Guild 22 Chestnut Ave. Island Heights, NJ 08732 or Squan-a-Thon C/O Paul Battaglia 167 Broad Str. Manasquan NJ 08736.
