Lillian (Lill) Weber Obituary
Lillian (Lill) Weber

Reston, VA - Lillian Todres Weber was born in 1923 to Bennie and Mollie Todres on the Lower East Side of Manhattan. She attended the neighborhood settlement house, where she learned to love to dance, and graduated from Eastern District High School. She went on to work as an electronics assembler including "war work" during World War II. She was an organizer for electrical workers unions.

After the war, she moved to New Jersey, living with her parents on their new farm. She married and raised a family, working in local small businesses and eventually at Lakehurst Naval Base. Always interested in the world around her, Lill went back to school in her 50's, earning an Associate Degree at Ocean County College. She was a board member of Ahavat Shalom in its early years, and after moving to A Country Place, volunteered at their library.

In 2012, she moved to Reston Virginia to live with her daughter and son-in-law.

Her son Steven predeceased her. She is survived by her loving family, daughter Marion, son-in-law Chuck, daughter-in-law Donna, grandchildren Nathaniel, Aaron and Rebecca (Don), and three great-grandchildren, Lydia, Wyatt and Bridget.

Burial will be at Congregation Sons of Israel Cemetery, Lakewood on Sunday, February 11, 2018 at 1 PM. Donations may be made in her name to the Humane Society of your choice.
