Lanoka Harbor, NJ

Linda Gnilka (nee Perrotta) of Lanoka Harbor passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on November 24, 2016 at Cooper University Hospital in Camden. Linda was born and raised in Paterson, Sandy Hill area, and proud of it. She had resided in Lanoka Harbor since 1996. She worked as a secretary and later in life entertained her audience as radio personality Lynn Perry on Q105, in Groton CT. Her true passion was in her last position as a Para Professional for Lacey Middle School. For the last 17 years, Linda loved working with her students and enjoying the many friendships she built with her colleagues.

Linda loved shoes, particularly stilettos. Although, she did not wear them when she would take her early morning walks with her friends. She always enjoyed relaxing at the beach and spending time with her family. Her quick wit and fun-loving personality made the people around her laugh. She will be dearly missed by many. One of her many sayings, "Age is just a number, it's all in how you feel."

Linda was predeceased by her parents. Nicholas & Vivian Perrotta and her sister, Concetta "Tina" Perrotta. She is survived by her loving husband and best friend of 47 years and 1 day, Robert L. Gnilka, her daughters Ashley Gnilka and Nicole Nelson and her husband Stephen, and grandchildren, Alexi and Caden.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2016 from 2:00 pm until the time of sharing at 3:45 pm at Riggs Funeral Home, 130 North Rt. 9, Forked River, NJ 08731. Cremation was private. In addition to flowers, donations may be made to the , 331 Newman Springs Rd., Red Bank, NJ 07701 in memory of Linda's mother.
