Linda Ledwitz Obituary
Linda Ledwitz

Asbury Park - Linda Ledwitz passed away Wednesday January 10, 2018 at the age of 75 after a long and valiant battle against cancer. Linda never lost her faith or her positive outlook throughout her illness. Her goal was to live as long as possible so that she could continue to observe many of her children and grandchildren's milestones. Linda won that battle...living not months but years with stage 4 cancer.

Linda was a life-long Jersey Girl. She was born in Long Branch, grew up in Interlaken and was a proud graduate of Asbury Park High School. She continued her education in New Jersey eventually receiving her Masters Degree in Education from Monmouth University.

She utilized her degree as a special education teacher for many years. She went on to become a certified jeweler and worked at Lundstrom's and Whitehall Jewelers. She eventually retired and worked part time at Lowes, always ready to help her customers with a smile and a kind word.

Linda was predeceased by her mother Ida Castlebaum Friedlander, her father Robert Friedlander, and her brother Richard Friedlander.

She is survived by her loving children and her grandchildren whom adored her: Michael and Lisa Ledwitz of Georgia and their children Wyatt and Oliver, Wendi Ledwitz of Ocean Township, New Jersey, and Karen Ledwitz-Bartolomeo and Peter Bartolomeo of Ocean Township New Jersey and their children Lila and Preston. She too leaves behind beloved friends Ronald Ledwitz and Meryl Linder Ledwitz and Anne and David Green.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday January 17, at 12PM at Temple Beth Miriam located at 180 Lincoln Avenue in Elberon, New Jersey, followed by burial in Temple Beth Miriam Cemetery in Neptune, New Jersey.

Memorial Donations may be made to Mary's Place by the Sea whom we are forever grateful to -OR- Temple Beth Miriam, where she was a member.

Shiva will be held at 20 Oxford Drive in Wayside after the internment Wednesday, all day Thursday, and Friday 9-2.
