AGE: 83 • Ewing

Lois M. Falkenberg, 83, of Ewing, passed away on Sunday, November 13, 2016, at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, NJ.

Born in Trenton, NJ, she was a longtime Ewing area resident but most recently resided in Wall Township. Mrs. Falkenberg was a Crossing Guard for Ewing Township at Incarnation School.

Lois was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Ewing and was very active in the Ewing community including being involved with the Ewing Patriotic Committee. She was involved with the Trenton Junior High # 4 Alumni, and was a member of Club A, ECHO, the Ewing Seniors and Ewing Womens' Club.

An accomplished seamstress, Lois also loved to cross stitch and received many awards for her cross stitch work. Mrs. Falkenberg loved children and even used her talents to knit hats for premature babies while serving as a hospital care volunteer at Capital Health. Her happiest times were spent traveling and being with her family.

Predeceased by her parents, Isador and Alice (Kauffman) Pekarski, her husband, Benjamin R. Falkenberg; her two sons, Dale and Thomas Falkenberg; her grandson, Erik James; and her sister Janet Hoagland; she is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Nadine and George Kuster of Neptune; her daughter-in-law, Lisa Falkenberg of Norfolk, VA; her brother and sister-in-law, Ronald and Janice Pekarski of Texas; four grandchildren, Lori, Thomas, Jr., Meredith, and Christopher; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will begin on Thursday, November 17, 2016, at 11:30 a.m. at the Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square, NJ.

Interment will follow at Ewing Church Cemetery in Ewing, NJ.

Visitation for friends and family will be held on Wednesday, November 16, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again on Thursday, November 17, 2016, from 10:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at the Saul Colonial Home.
