Lucia Barbarisi, 72, of Holmdel, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, November 10, 2016 at Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank. She was born Lucia Spinavaria on December 13, 1943 in Siragusa, Italy, and was raised in North New Jersey. On June 18, 1966, Lucia married the love of her life, Angelo Barbarisi, and together they settled in Lincroft to raise their family. In 1998, they moved to Holmdel. Lucia loved spending the winters in Highland Beach, FL with her family and friends from all over the country.

She was predeceased by her parents, Sebastiano and Concettina (DiLorenzo) Spinavaria. Lucia is survived by her beloved husband of 50 years, Dr. Angelo Barbarisi, her loving children, Diana Melillo and her husband, Victor, of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, and Debi Costantino of Secaucus. Also surviving Lucia are her dear siblings, Angela Barbaris and her husband, Ronald, Vincent Spinavaria and his wife, JoAnne, Maria Shafer and her husband, Earl, along with her cherished grandchildren, Ryan Melillo, Anthony Costantino, Jaedyn Melillo, Dean Costantino, and Alex Costantino. She will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Monday, November 14th from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 PM, and Tuesday morning, November 15th from 8 to 8:45 AM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 3269 State Rt./Hwy 35 N., Hazlet.
