Monroe, MI - Margaret "Peggy" Cecelia Campbell, 88, of Monroe, MI died Sunday, March 11, 2018. Born in Montclair, NJ to her late parents, Samuel and Margaret Bakker, she graduated from West Side High School in Newark, NJ. She married her sweetheart, Arthur B. Campbell, on September 12, 1948 in St. Antoninus Church in Newark.

Peggy formerly resided in Bridgewater, NJ and had worked as a book buyer for the Baker and Taylor Co., Somerville, NJ. Peggy then managed a Hallmark store for many years until she and Art bought a laundromat in Lavallette. Peggy ran the laundromat and Art repaired the machines. During those years, everyone they knew came to Lavallette to enjoy their hospitality at the shore. After retiring to Manahawkin, NJ in 1997, Peggy became a devoted parishioner and a Eucharistic Minister at St. Mary's Church. In 2011 she relocated to Monroe, MI.

Peggy was always the glue bringing family and friends together, always planning fun times for all. She was the ultimate event planner even before the title was invented.

Predeceased by her beloved husband, Arthur; son-in-law, Kenneth Vincelli; her two brothers, William and Robert Bakker; her sister, Kathleen Pitterman; sisters-in-law Mildred Miller and Elenore Campbell; and brothers-in-law, Thomas Campbell and John Campbell. She is survived by two loving daughters, Nancy Campbell of Bound Brook, NJ and Susan Vincelli of Monroe, MI; her cherished grandson, Marcus Vincelli of Frenchtown, MI; sisters-in-law, Gloria Bakker of St. Johnsbury, VT, Jane Campbell of Lakewood, NJ and many loving nieces and nephews; together Peggy and Art were the Godparents to 13 Godchildren.

Viewing Friday, March 16th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at Barnegat Funeral Home, 841 W. Bay Ave., Barnegat ( Mass offered Saturday 9:30 AM at St. Mary's Church, Barnegat. Interment to follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Manahawkin. Flowers or memorial donations to IHM, 610 West Elm Ave., Monroe, MI 48162 ( or ( would be greatly appreciated by the family.
