Brick - Margaret F. "Marge" Montesi, 96 of Brick NJ passed away on Tuesday April 11 at Shorrock Gardens Care Center. Marge was born in Linden, NJ to Helen and Edward Parker. She also resided in Iowa, New York, Connecticut, Georgia and Nevada before returning to NJ in 1984.

Marge worked many years in banking and was the Money Room Manager for Jai Alai at the MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas starting in 1974. After the tragic fire in 1980 she worked for Bally's Casino from which she retired in 1984.

She was predeceased by her husband Arthur E. Montesi, her daughter Margaret Clarke, her daughter Patricia Repen, and her sister Dorothy Milchuk. Marge is survived by 6 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, a great great granddaughter, and her niece Jane Backus of Brick with whom she resided for 28 years.

Marge loved photography, travelling, golf, arts and crafts, and selling at flea markets and craft shows. She was a top golfer in Las Vegas winning several tournaments in the 1970's. She also served as a scorer for the pro golfers and continued to play after returning to NJ.

Special thanks to the staff of the Applewood Unit at Shorrock Gardens for caring for her with skill, respect, love, and compassion when she could no longer reside at home.

She was a great lady who will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

A Memorial gathering will take place at the Weatherhead Young Funeral Home, 885 Mantoloking Road in Brick on Tuesday from 6-8pm with a short service starting at 7:30pm. Cremation will be private.
