Margaret Sagan

Farmingdale - Margaret Sagan, 75, of Farmingdale passed away on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. Born in Neptune to the late, John and Kathleen Scheidt, she was a life long resident of Farmingdale. There she raised her nine children, was an active member of the PTA and member of the Board of Education for 17 years. In her youth, Margaret was a Girl Scout. Later in life, she was the owner of What's the Scoop Ice Cream Shoppe, Farmingdale. Affectionately known as Grammy or Momster, she enjoyed knitting, ceramics and trips to Atlantic City.

She was predeceased by her husband, Michael "Mickey" Sagan, in 2008 and her brother, Wayne Scheidt. Margaret is survived by her children, Blain Sagan of Farmingdale, Kelly White of Howell, Matt Sagan of Farmingdale, Kris Cancellieri of Jackson, Colleen Sagan and her husband, Michael Dianora of Farmingdale, Shannon Sagan of Farmingdale, Kate Sagan of Henderson, NV, Mark Sagan of Farmingdale, and Sean Sagan of Farmingdale; grandchildren, Jerry Lubcke and his wife, Becca, Michael White, Nicholas White, Alyssa White, Kyrsten Cancellieri, Aiden Dianora, Jonah Gary, Avary Dianora, and Anna Lyman; brothers, Donald Scheidt and his wife, June of Thailand and Richard Scheidt of TX; niece, Amanda Perry; nephews, Ricky Scheidt, Bobby Scheidt, David Sagan and Jeremy Scheidt; and brother-in-law, Gary Sagan.

Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Thursday, April 19, 2018 from 2:00 to 4:00 & 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her 11:00 AM funeral service on Friday, April 20, 2018 at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Farmingdale. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Margaret's name may be made to the Emmanuel Cancer Foundation, Eastern Regional Center, 1710 Hwy 71, Suite 2, Wall, NJ 07719.
