Oceanport - Marian Ryan Kittell Tuttle, 94, passed away peacefully on March 2, 2018, at home. She was born in NYC to John and Clementine Ryan and lived in Monmouth Beach and Oceanport most of her life. Marian attended and graduated from Monmouth Beach Grammar School, graduated from Long Branch High School in 1941 and Newark State Teacher's College in 1948. She was an elementary school teacher and educator who taught primary grades in Elizabeth, West Long Branch and Monmouth Beach before retiring in 1985.

Marian was also a well known watercolor artist. Many of her works are in private collections nationwide.

She was a member of the Oceanport Seniors, Oceanport Garden Club, Friends of Photography, Synchronetts, D.U.O. Club, Organ Club of America, Monmouth Beach Cultural Guild of Creative Art, Art Alliance and Art Society of Monmouth County.

Marian is predeceased by her parents; her husband Frank R. Tuttle in 1997; and sister Patricia Ryan Zweig in 2016. She is survived by her sisters Kathleen Ryan Heeg and Audrey Ryan Smith; niece Susan Maciolli-Brewer and her husband Terry Brewer; nephew Stephen Tuttle Miller and his wife Lori Lorenzo; and their respective sons, daughters, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank Mimi and Tamie and everyone at VNA Hospice and Home Instead for their special care.

Visitation will be Tuesday, March 6th from 10 to 12:30 pm, with a service at noon, at the Thompson Memorial Home, 310 Broad St, Red Bank. Interment will follow at Woodbine Cemetery in Oceanport. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation to the Oceanport First Aid, 2 Pemberton Ave, Oceanport, NJ 07757.
