AGE: 74 • Keansburg

Marianne Gallina, 74, of Keansburg, died on September 11, 2017 at Bayshore Community Hospital in Holmdel, NJ. She was born in Newark and lived there and North Arlington until she moved to Keansburg 4 years ago. Marianne was a devout Catholic with good heart who was well loved by everyone she knew. She had a wonderful sense of humor, she was kind, and she was a nurturer, becoming a mother to everyone and their children and grandchildren. Marianne loved children, she took care of many children over the years and she had a special place in her heart for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved movies and was an avid reader. Marianne was a wonderful daughter, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and aunt.

Surviving are her husband, Victor Gallina; her mother, Domenica Palmeri; her daughter and son-in-law, Debra and Arne Henn; daughter, Mae O'Neill; son, Ron O'Neill; daughter and son-in-law, Paige and Frank Apito; son and daughter-in-law, Shawn and Kristie O'Neill; her step-daughter, Beth Gallina; ten grandchildren, Arne Henn, Andrew Henn and his wife Marie, Alexander Henn, Shannon O'Neill, Sean O'Neill, Michael O'Neill, Frank Apito, Felicia Apito, Shane Apito, and Lillianna Apito; and her five great-grandchildren, Briella Marie Henn, Andrew Henn, Easton Henn, Cameron Henn, and Brixton Robert Lagville.

Marianne was preceded in death by her father, Frederick Freda and her first husband, John O'Neill, who passed in 1990.

Visitation will be held Thursday, September 14, 2017 from 3-9 pm at John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, 115 Tindall Road, Middletown. Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, September 15, 2017 at 10:30 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Bay View Cemetery, Leonardo.
