Marie "Mary" Lacertosa

Manchester - Marie "Mary" Lacertosa, 88, passed away February 6, 2018 at her home in Manchester, NJ. Mrs. Lacertosa was born and raised in Croton-On-Hudson, NY State, moving to Staten Island, NY for 30 years where she raised her family, then moving to the Poconos, PA for 22 years and finally settling in Manchester, NJ. She is a graduate of Croton-On-Hudson High School. Mary worked for Metropolitan Life Insurance Co, American Re-Insurance Co, NYC, and PNC Bank Stroudsburg, PA. Marie was a participant in Lung Cancer Research. She was a member of the Red Hats and the Italian American Club of Leisure Knoll. Mrs. Lacertosa was an avid Piano player and teacher and loved to crochet and garden. She was a loving wife, devoted mother, sweet grandmother, great grandmother and aunt and will be greatly missed by all.

Mrs. Lacertosa is predeceased by her parents, Matteo and Antoinette, siblings, Michael Notorangelo and Amelia Mitta, nephew, Michael Notorangelo Jr., brother-in-law, Louis Mitta and sister-in-law, Judith Notorangelo.

Marie is survived by her husband of 67 years, Rocco, son, Rocco M Lacertosa and his wife Darlene, daughter, Barbara Anne Brady and her husband George, seven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, brother, Matthew Notorangelo, sister-in-law, Shirley Notorangelo, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 9, 2018 from 2-4 & 7-9M at the D'Elia Funeral Home 1300 Vermont Ave. Lakewood, NJ 08701. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at 9:15AM at the St. Maximillian Church of Toms River. Entombment of will take place at St. Catherine's Mausoleum of Moscow, PA.

In lieu of flowers please make donations in Marie's memory to the Lung Cancer Association.
