Manchester - Marilyn B Mays, 80 of Manchester died at home Sunday February 11, 2018.

Born in Fairview, she resided in Paramus for 43 years before moving to River Pointe in Manchester 10 years ago. Marilyn worked for the NY Telephone company and after raising her children, enjoyed a successful career with the Stern's and Macy's Department stores as a customer service manager for over 20 years. In Paramus, Marilyn was a member of the Italian American & Woman's Clubs, volunteered in the library of the public schools and taught CCD at OLV church. While living at River Pointe, Marilyn was active in the community and helped to create many of the existing social clubs. Marilyn's greatest enjoyment came from entertaining friends and family and talking about her many grandchildren. Marilyn was predeceased by her husband Lawrence in 2015, at the time of his death they were married 56 years. Surviving are 3 sons and their spouses; Lawrence & Nickole of Long Branch, Joseph & Karen of West Milford and Thomas and Meghan of Yonkers, NY, her daughter Laura & husband, Steve Clarke of New York City, 11 grandchildren; Anthony, Joseph, Thomas, Joseph, Samantha, Nicolas, Vincent, Alyssa, Abigail, Emily &Thomas and 3 great grandchildren; Anabelle, Thomas & Lexi. Marilyn will forever be remembered for her beautiful smile and kind words. Visitation is Thursday 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Oliverie Funeral Home 2925 Ridgeway Rd Manchester. Funeral Liturgy is Friday 10 AM at St John's Church, Lakehurst with interment to follow at Brigadier Gen Wm C Doyle NJ Veteran's Cemetery, Arneytown.
