Marion Deicke Cherin Obituary
Marion Deicke Cherin

Wall Twp. - Marion Deicke Cherin went home to Lord on February 13, 2018. She was born on February 11, 1923 to Bertha and James Nugent. She lived most of her young adult life in Bogota, Bergen County. Marion was a beautician by profession, owning her own business called Marion's while living in Bogota.

In 1953 she and her family moved to Wall Twp., and Marion continued work in her chosen field at beauty salons in Asbury Park and Ocean Township.

Marion was predeceased by her first husband, Robert Deicke in 1966, and her second husband, Enoch Cherin, in 1997. She is survived by her loving son Douglas A. Deicke and his wife Claire of Belmar, grandson Douglas R. Deicke of Belmar, and granddaughter Marion Carolan and her husband Brian of Fair Haven and three great-grandchildren-Jack, Meghan and Catie Carolan. She leaves to honor her memory nieces Nancy Ward, Faith Hoek, and nephew Dwight Deicke. The family is most grateful to Danette Harris of Meridian at Home for the gentle and loving care she provided to Marion for the past 3 and one-half years.

Marion loved to garden, sew for family members, and prepare meals for friends and family. She was a huge Frank Sinatra fan, and enjoyed listening to his music throughout her life. Marion loved to shop, and purchase items for her loved ones.

Marion was the most adoring mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and this love was reflected in all that she did each and every day of her life.

Visitation will be on Friday, February 16, from to 12:00 until the time of the service at 2:30PM at the Reilly Bonner Funeral Home, 801 D Street, Belmar NJ. Committal will be held privately at the Deicke family plot, Glendola Cemetery. For further information or to send condolences to the family, please visit
