Marjorie P. Cooke Obituary
Marjorie P. Cooke

AGE: 76 • Bricktown

Passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, September 20th, 2017.

Margie was a true Jersey Girl: born in Red Bank, raised in Fair Haven, lived most of her life in Rumson before moving to Bricktown 11 years ago.

She worked for many years at Briody's in Rumson where she made lifelong friends. Margie was a contract specialist at Fort Monmouth, retiring after 34 years.

She doted on her pets and supported various animal organizations. She was a good friend to everyone and had the best laugh ever. Margie and her daughter, Lisa, spent countless hours laughing together and were bosom buddies right to the very end.

She was pre-deceased by her parents, Mary & Ed Porter, her sister, Barbara McQueen and her son, Louie Cooke III. She is survived by her loving daughter and son-in-law, Lisa & Paolo Femia of Hamilton Square, NJ; her beloved grand-daughter, Briyanna Femia at TCNJ; her sister, Jenene Calabretta of Rumson; her brother, Eddie Porter of TX; her ex-husband/friend, Lou Cooke Jr. of Eatontown; several nieces, nephews and cousins; best friend, Pat Schiano of Bricktown and her cherished cats, Spooky & Boo.

Per Margie's request, there will be no services. For those who wish to honor Margie, in lieu of flowers, please send a donation in her memory to Jersey Shore Animal Center, 185 Brick Blvd, Brick, NJ 08723; www.Jer seyShoreAnimalCenter.org.
