Mary-Barbara Kelly Fotusky, born August 21,1930, Rochester, New York, beloved wife of Martin J. Fotusky Toms River, New Jersey, mother and grandmother, died March 25, 2017. She was the daughter of Charles A. and Monica Johnston Kelly, deceased.

Mary- Barbara was a graduate, cum laude, of Bishop McDonald H.S., Brooklyn, N.Y., winner of the New York State Regents Medal for highest achievement in trigonometry. She was a graduate of Katherine Gibbs, New York, and in her final year at Gibbs was chosen Miss New York Subway by the N.Y. Transit Authority.

Her first position after graduation from Gibbs was at Mary Brooks Pickens Designs as personal secretary and model. She entered government service with the Central Intelligence Agency in Washington, D.C., later in Munich, Germany. She returned from Germany to marry Martin, a government agent. They made their home in North Arlington, N.J. Mary-Barbara became a guidance secretary at Queen of Peace H.S. where she was fondly called " Miss Mary "

As Martin was transferred within Naval Intelligence, the family made their home in Toms River, where they raised four children. Mary-Barbara retired from Toms River H.S. South as a guidance secretary.

She was an active member of St. Joseph Parish and school.

She was predeceased by her sister, Sr. Kathleen T. Kelly, MM, Syracuse, N.Y., and brother, Charles A. Kelly, Sussex, N.J.

Mary-Barbara is survived by her husband of 63 years, Martin J., sons Martin G. (Toms River), Thomas, wife Deborah, (Wisconsin), Francis X., wife Lynn, (Maine), and daughter Margaret R. (Pennsylvania), sisters, Patricia K. Waelder (Syracuse), and Maureen K. Flanigan (Salem, N.J.), sister-in-law Judith V. Kelly (Sussex, N.J.) Mary-Barbara is also survived by her beloved grandchildren Taylor… Jade, Francis, and Aurora…Monica, and Anthony and great grandchildren, in addition to her loving nieces and nephews.

Visiting will be Friday, March 31, 3017 from 2:00 - 4:00 & 7:00 - 9:00 PM at the Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main St. Toms River. A Mass to celebrate Mary's life will be held Saturday, 11:00 AM at St. Joseph's R.C. Church, 685 Hooper Ave. Toms River. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Toms River. In lieu of flowers, contributions would be appreciated to The Dementia Society of America by visiting Family and friends are invited to visit to leave tributes to her family.
