AGE: 76 • Toms River

Mary C. (Collignon) DeMarco, age 76 of Brick, NJ, died on Friday, 4/14/17 at Brandywine Assisted Living in Toms River, NJ. She was born in Teaneck, NJ, the youngest daughter of Dorothy and Ellis Collignon Jr. She was raised in River Vale, NJ. She attended River Vale public schools and graduated from Pascack Valley Regional High School in 1959. She also received her degree in Geriatric Recreation. She married her high school sweet heart Leonard DeMarco in 1962. They resided in River Vale until 1972 when they moved to Brick, NJ and continued to raise their two daughters, Renee and Michele. She moved to Brandywine of Toms River in August 2016. She was employed as a Customer Service Representative for many years, last employed by Staples in Toms River.

She was a parishioner of The Church of the Epiphany in Brick where she was very active with volunteering, especially with the food pantry.

She was formerly active for over 25 years with the Girl Scouts of America in River Vale and Brick. She also volunteered with the Brick PTA.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Leonard F. DeMarco in 1999 and by her daughter, Michele DeMarco French in 1984.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Renee Eilers and her husband, Ron of Bayville, NJ; her five grandchildren, Philip, Amy, Michael, Bobby and Cherie; several nieces & nephews.

Friends may call on Thursday, April 20, 2017, from 3 - 7 PM at Colonial Funeral Home -2170 Hwy. 88 Brick, NJ 08724. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, 11:00 AM at The Church of the Epiphany in Brick. Burial will follow at Ocean County Memorial Park in Toms River. Donations in lieu of flowers can be made in her honor to The Church of the Epiphany, 615 Thiele Rd, Brick. To send condolences to the family, please go to:
