Michael W. (Mickey) Noonan

AGE: 59 • Jackson Twp., NJ, formerly of Howell

Michael W. (Mickey) Noonan, 59, of Jackson Twp., NJ, formerly of Howell, NJ, and Brooklyn, NY, passed away on Thursday, December 15, 2016, at home after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Michael was born June 5, 1957, in Brooklyn, NY, to Michael J. and Marie Noonan. He moved with his wife and children to Howell in 1989, and in 2007 moved to Jackson.

He was lovingly referred to as "Mr. Nose For Nature" because of his love for anything outdoors, and his need to always go off the beaten path.

Mickey was a former Cub Master of Cub Scouts Pack 150, and former Assistant Scoutmaster of Boy Scout Troop 150, where he earned the Order of the Arrow.

He was predeceased by his Father, Michael J. Noonan. Hs is survived by his Wife, Lillian; three Children, Julie and Michael Nyman and their Children, Cole and Amelia; Chris Noonan and Stefani Cracchiolo; and Daniel Noonan and Amy Loch; his Mother, Marie Noonan; his Brother, Steven and Maria Noonan; his Uncle, Leonard Giuliani; his Aunt, Jeannie Giuliani; as well as numerous Cousins, Nieces and Nephews; and a great many friends.

Mickey wanted to be remembered as a fighter, someone never willing to give up. His motto is his gift to us: "I got this."

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his visitation on Sunday, December 18, 2016, from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the GEORGE S. HASSLER FUNERAL HOME, 980 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson Twp., NJ 08527. A funeral gathering will be offered at 10:15AM on Monday, December 19, 2016, at the funeral home. His Funeral Liturgy will follow at 11:30AM at The Church of St. Monica, 679 W. Veterans Highway, Jackson, NJ.
