AGE: 84 • Bradley Beach

Nancy Joan Murray, of Bradley Beach, passed away on Wednesday, November 22, 2017. She was born in Shamokin, PA on January 3, 1933 to the late James and Josephine Shaw. Nancy graduated from Coal Twp. High School and married the late Edward N. Murray on June 27, 1959. Together they moved to Bradley Beach, NJ in 1963. She worked in the Little Craft Factory, the Asbury Park Press and the Boro of Bradley Beach for more than 30 years. Nancy belonged to the Bradley Beach Wed Sr. Club, the Neptune City Mon. Club and the Holy Innocents Fri. Club. She also loved playing Bingo with her friends.

She is survived by her sister, Joan Mowery and her husband, William of Terrell, TX; her four sons: Edward J. Murray and his wife Marla of Overland Park, KS, Gene Murray and his wife Karen of Eatontown, NJ, Robert E. Murray, Sr. and his wife Jennifer of Belmar, NJ and Thomas A. Murray of Bradley Beach, NJ; eight grandchildren; two great grandchildren and her dog Buddy.

Friends and family are invited to the viewing from 6 to 8 PM on Wednesday, November 29, 2017, at the Ely Funeral Home, Neptune. A funeral service will be held at 10 AM on Thursday, November 30, 2017, at the Ely Funeral Home followed by the entombment in Monmouth Memorial Park.
