Patricia A. Slavkovsky

Barnegat - Patricia Ann Slavkovsky (Wright) passed away peacefully on January 20, 2018. Patricia was born in Brooklyn, NY to William and Agnes Wright on March 29, 1940.

Pat devoted her life to helping others beginning when she graduated from St. Michaels Hospital School of Nursing. She was employed for 40 years at Bayshore Hospital, Holmdel, and Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. She retired in 2003 to spend time with her best friend and husband Ferdinand Slavkovsky. Patricia and Fred married on September 15, 1962 and raised 3 children all the while working hard their whole lives. It was when she retired 14 years ago, that they moved from Atlantic Highlands to Barnegat to live out a happy, social, and adventurous retirement. They went on cruises, attended countless parties, and made sure to lay out by the pool with their neighbors any day the sun shined. For the past 25 years she got to spend a week in Ocean City with her entire extended family. She looked forward to that all year long. She cherished every moment with her family and friends. She was never found without at least 2 books at any given time. She was a dedicated member of the Red Hat Society and the Women's Club at Mirage.

Patricia is survived by her husband of 55 years Ferdinand Slavkovsky. Sons; William and Stephen Slavkovsky; Daughter Susan and her husband Michael Gull. Grandchildren; Christyn and Shawn Slavkovsky and Rachel Oglivie. She is also survived by her sisters and their husbands; Agnes and Bob Kulason, Kathleen and James Savage, and Eileen and Gerard Kelly. Pat also leaves behind many nieces and nephews as well as countless friends.
