AGE: 83 • Ship Bottom

Patricia Adair (nee Adanatzian), 83, of Ship Bottom NJ, passed away peacefully at home on October 31, 2017. As an educator for 30 years, she helped shape the lives of hundreds of students in the Hillside Public School system. Patricia was the co-owner of Country Corner Farm Market in Ship Bottom and was a driving force of the Long Beach Island business community. She also served as a Borough Councilwoman from 1997 to 2003 and could always be depended on to play the devil's advocate in discussions. Patricia could often be seen on the sidelines of Southern Regional basketball, cross-country, baseball, swimming, volleyball, soccer, and band events; Patricia was a supporter of the Ship Bottom Beach Patrol as well. She was extremely proud to become an Irish citizen in February 2010. She was a parishioner of St. Mary's Church in Barnegat, NJ.

Patricia was predeceased by her beloved husband of 60 years, Barry, in 2016. She is survived by daughter Denise and her husband, James Harrington of Cedar Run; son Kevin and his wife Nancy (Farese) of Manahawkin; also surviving are grandchildren Kathleen Harrington Henderson (Taylor), Patrick, Dennis and Reilly Harrington; Shane, Maggie and Luke Adair. Patricia will be missed by dozens of others who knew her as "Nana Pat", as well as many nieces and nephews. She is survived by a sister, Kathleen Maziekien of Mantoloking and was predeceased by her brothers Eugene, Dennis and Jack Adanatzian.

Friends and family are invited to visit on Sunday, November 5 from 5-8pm at Thos L. Shinn Funeral Home, 10 Hilliard Drive, Manahawkin NJ. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary's Church, West Bay Avenue, Barnegat, NJ at 10am on Monday, November 6, 2017. Burial will follow at the St. Mary's Cemetery, Manahawkin.
