Patricia Ellen McGeehan Obituary
Patricia Ellen McGeehan

Patricia Ellen McGeehan, wife, mother, grandmother and friend to so so many, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on September 11th.

She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Paul McGeehan, and her 3 children, Cheryl Taylor, Denise Sullivan and Kevin McGeehan and 6 grandchildren.

Raised in Belleville NJ, by parents John and Mary Drukten, Patricia thrived in a large family with 4 loving sisters, Mary, Sue, Fran and Jan.

Summers at her family's Jersey Shore house in West Point Island set a tone for her love of the sun and sea, which lasted a lifetime.

She attended Seton Hall University, where she met and fell in love with her husband to be, Paul McGeehan.

While being an ever dedicated wife and mother, Patricia found her true calling as a teacher and coach to the children of Marlboro NJ, where she worked for over 20 years.

Her passion for her family, her friends, for all that touched any part of her life - set her apart from all else.

She will be remembered for her never ending energy, her outspoken personality, her passion for her children and grandchildren and for always giving everything she had for anyone and everyone else. Known to have a love for Chocolate Milk Shakes, Burger King hamburger's, Irish Bag pipes, red wine and sunny sandy beaches - Patricia lived life to the fullest, and will be deeply missed.

A visitation service will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 13, from 4 to 7 at Higgins & Bonner Echo Lake, 582 S Springfield ave in Westfield NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 14, at St. Helens in Westfield, followed by a repast at the Cranford Hotel.

In lieu of flowers, Paul has requested that you please consider donating to JDRF.
